Privacy notice

Last updated 14 July 2026

This notice explains what personal data Heagital Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It is written to comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Heagital Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

What we collect and why

Data Why we have it Lawful basis
Your name, email address, and anything you choose to write, when you email us at hello@heagital.com To read your message and reply to it Legitimate interests: responding to someone who has contacted us
Your IP address and browser information, sent automatically when the page loads To serve the page and keep the site available and secure Legitimate interests: operating and protecting the website

Who else is involved

GitHub Pages

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc. GitHub receives your IP address and standard request information in order to serve the page to you, and retains server logs for a limited period for security and abuse prevention. GitHub is part of Microsoft and personal data may be transferred outside the UK under approved safeguards.

Google Fonts

The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, your IP address is sent to Google. Google does not set cookies for font requests and states that it does not use this data to build advertising profiles, but the request itself is a transfer of personal data to Google LLC. If this concerns you, browser extensions that block third-party font loading will prevent it, and the site remains readable without them.

Email

Email sent to hello@heagital.com is received and stored through our email provider. Anything you put in an email is held on their systems.

What we do not do

How long we keep things

We keep email correspondence for as long as the relationship it relates to is live, and for up to two years after the last contact, so we can pick a conversation back up or refer to what was said. After that it is deleted. Server logs are held by our host for a short period and are outside our direct control.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. You can exercise any of these by emailing hello@heagital.com. We will respond within one month.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason not to.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first and we will try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time.

Changes to this notice

If we add anything to the site that collects data, such as a contact form or analytics, we will update this notice before we do it. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
